During our Midwest Road Trip from Yellowstone National Park to Rocky Mountain National Park, we also stayed a couple days in Moab. While in Moab, we visited two incredible beautiful National Parks, Arches National Park with its more than 2000 sandstone Arches and Canyonlands National Park. I hope my Photo Jouney through these parks give you some idea of the beauty of this place.

Visiting New Zealand has been for ages the number 1 on my bucket list, I always wanted to explore the North Island with all its volcanic activity as well as the glaciers, fjords and rainforest on the South Island. In 2002, my wife and I finally decided to go. I spend quite some time planning our trip and reserved up-front all our stays through BBHmainly in backpacker hostels. We combined our trip with a 2-day hike in Rotorua of the International Marching League as well as with visiting my aunt and her family in Christchurch.

Looking back at 2012 and forward to 2013

For the last couple of days I have not been able to get this line from a Christmas song out of my head "Another year over and a new one just begun". So true, 2013 has just begun. The first week of January has ended, it's the perfect time of the year to reflect on 2012 and look forward to 2013.
